2022 Super Heroes Have A Heart for Children

Superheroes Have a Heart for Kids Luncheon to be Held February 17th

The Community Counseling Center Foundation will host the Superheroes Have a Heart for Kids Luncheon on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Drury Plaza Conference Center in Cape Girardeau starting at 11:30 a.m.

The event will raise funds for the Community Counseling Center’s Children’s Services Division, which include Cottonwood Residential Treatment Center, Youth Day Treatment, School Based Counseling, and Outpatient Services. Children’s Services focus is on helping children clients develop skills, access resources and learn to manage symptoms in order to be successful in the living, working, learning, and social environments of their choice. CCC provides a place where children can get the support, therapy, and education services they need while avoiding hospitalization.

The luncheon is open to the public.  Anyone who wants to be a superhero and have a heart for kids is invited to attend.  It is an opportunity for you to be inspired by truly amazing stories of the many lives have been impacted over the years by our healing and helping services. There will also be raffle tickets available to purchase for multiple raffle items at the event. Reservations for the luncheon are suggested.  Individual tickets are $35, and a table 8 is $250, both are available through Eventbrite, or at the door.  There are several sponsorships still available.

Christmas Campaign

Keep Our Clients in Your Presence of Mind

Each year the Community Counseling Center Foundation ensures that our 117 residential clients receive Christmas gifts. This year is no different, except…it is! COVID-19 has dramatically affected the Foundation’s fundraising efforts with the cancellation of our event fundraisers.

You can be a part of making Christmas special to our residents. Just $25 will provide a special gift chosen for someone who may not have anything under the tree this year.

Our residents are individuals living with chronic mental health diagnoses (i.e., anxiety, bi-polar, depression, personality disorders, etc.) that often involve severe behavioral and emotional issues resulting in guardianship. They are working hard to overcome their diagnosis with the help of Community Counseling Center staff and therapists. Many have no family as a result of their illness.

This year we ask you to please help us make them feel loved at Christmas. We ask that you consider giving to this fundraiser, and keep our clients in your presence of mind.
