2022 Super Heroes Have A Heart for Children

Superheroes Have a Heart for Kids Luncheon, Held February 17th

The Community Counseling Center Foundation hosted the Superheroes Have a Heart for Kids Luncheon on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Drury Plaza Conference Center in Cape Girardeau at 11:30 a.m.

The event raised funds for the Community Counseling Center’s Children’s Services Division, which includes Cottonwood Residential Treatment Center, Youth Day Treatment, School Based Counseling, and Outpatient Services. Children’s Services focus is on helping children clients develop skills, access resources and learn to manage symptoms in order to be successful in the living, working, learning, and social environments of their choice. CCC provides a place where children can get the support, therapy, and education services they need while avoiding hospitalization.

We would like to thank everyone who helped make this event possible!

Please check back later for information for next year’s luncheon.

For more information on this event, our programs or how you can help, please contact Michelle Ramsey at 573-332-2787 or email Michelle at mramsey@cccntr.com.

Christmas Campaign

Keep Our Clients in Your Presence of Mind

Each year the Community Counseling Center Foundation ensures that our 117 residential clients receive Christmas gifts. This year is no different, except…it is! COVID-19 has dramatically affected the Foundation’s fundraising efforts with the cancellation of our event fundraisers.

You can be a part of making Christmas special to our residents. Just $25 will provide a special gift chosen for someone who may not have anything under the tree this year.

Our residents are individuals living with chronic mental health diagnoses (i.e., anxiety, bi-polar, depression, personality disorders, etc.) that often involve severe behavioral and emotional issues resulting in guardianship. They are working hard to overcome their diagnosis with the help of Community Counseling Center staff and therapists. Many have no family as a result of their illness.

This year we ask you to please help us make them feel loved at Christmas. We ask that you consider giving to this fundraiser, and keep our clients in your presence of mind.
