Cottonwood Residential Treatment Center (CRTC) is a 16-Bed Residential Treatment Facility serving children and adolescent patients located in Cape Girardeau, MO. The program is intended for youth 6-17 years of age. CRTC offers an intensive residential treatment environment and serves as an alternative to hospitalization. Services include psychiatry, individual and group therapy, recreational therapy, nursing and medical services, family therapy and family services. In cooperation with the Cape Girardeau Public Schools, on-site educational services are provided.
CRTC’s mission is to care for children and adolescents in a safe, nurturing environment with treatment that encourages the development of healthy relationship with others. It is a secure 24-hour setting designed to provide clinical services at the highest level of service intensity. Each child will have a comprehensive individualized care plan developed by the family, child, natural supports, other agencies, and community partners.
This service is available to any eligible child or adolescent from our five-county catchment area of Bollinger, Cape Girardeau, Madison, Perry, and Ste Genevieve counties. There are eligibility criteria for this service which would be determined upon evaluation for services.
