Our Outpatient Therapy team includes the Director of Outpatient & Emergency Services, the Outpatient Administrator Assistant, 2 Interns and 14 Licensed Professional Counselors and Mental Health Social Work Counselors. Counseling services are provided to individuals and families experiencing life transition issues, chronic and/or severe emotional challenges, mental health and substance use (cooccurring), trauma, emotional problems, domestic violence and other behavioral health challenges that thwart wellbeing.
We strive to meet our patients where they are and to utilize counseling skills that promote wellness and healing. Our ultimate goal is to provide a system of care that meets the needs of our patients so they can recover, remain in their communities and lead fulfilling lives.

“Success as a therapist is not gound in doing something for the client, but rather, in being someone for the client.” — Ili Rivera Walter
Our holistic and timely execution of treatment plans help shield patients against isolation, relapse, recurring crisis, distress or hospitalization. We emphasize coordination of care among partnering agencies and encourage our patients to be participants in their own decision-making, in their interdisciplinary care planning as related to behavioral and physical health needs, as well as, in their acquisition of social support needs.
Our highly trained counselors provide person-centered, culturally and linguistically specific outpatient mental health care in a holistic manner to anyone in need residing in the five counties that we serve including Bollinger, Cape Girardeau, Madison, Perry and Ste. Genevieve. We do not turn anyone away for lack of funds for payment of services.
