The Consumer Advisory Board of the Community Counseling Center advises, plans, monitors and advocates on behalf of consumers of service. Any consumer of service or family member is eligible for membership. The Board meets monthly and is open to all. Anyone who wishes may address the Board regarding any issue that involves the delivery of service or any issue effecting their health or well being.
The Consumer Advisory Board annually elects officers. The President of the Consumer Advisory Board is a voting member of the Governing Board and represents the concerns of consumers. A monthly consumer report is presented at each meeting of the Governing Board. The Vice President of the Consumer Advisory Board represents consumers as a voting member on the Foundation Board.
A Children’s Advisory Board, a subcommittee of the Board, represents the needs of children and their families.
The Consumer Advisory Board also operates the Warm Line. The Warm Line is a Missouri Department of Mental Health funded telephone reassurance program operated by consumers, for consumers. The Warm Line is available 365 days a year and operates from 4:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. daily. The Warm Line provides support to persons living alone or who just need someone to listen.

Monthly Consumer Advisory Board meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 3:00 p.m. in the Harris Room of the Cape Girardeau Community Counseling Center.
